Our Mission Statement​

 

The East Hartford Summer Youth Festival, Inc. was created in 1964 to provide an opportunity for young

people to develop and showcase their talents and to participate in producing a full-scale musical, literally

“learning the ropes” from singing and dancing to lighting and set construction.  Invaluable skills such as

teamwork and performing for an audience are instilled, lifelong friendships are made, and musical fun

is had by all, especially our audiences.

Our level of success is due to the commitment and dedication from the Town of East Hartford,

the East Hartford Fine Arts Commission and the East Hartford Public School Administration, as well as

the memories of those individuals who had the vision and courage to establish an organization dedicated

to bringing the arts to the East Hartford area.
